From sunset onwards, expect a refined selection of wines and spirits from iconic French houses like Billecart-Salmon, Château Pontet-Canet and Tesseron, paired with savoury bites from the Claudine food truck and laid-back beats by DJ Justo.

One of Singapore’s most beloved French bistros is entering a new era. Merci Marcel has just opened its sixth restaurant in Serangoon Garden, unveiling a refreshed visual identity that blends modern design with its signature warm, convivial spirit.

Beyond the new look, the venue introduces a dedicated merch corner and even a brand-new mascot, Marcel, because what’s more French than a chic bistro with a charming dog? A perfect excuse to rediscover a classic or experience Merci Marcel for the very first time.

This February also marks a sweet milestone: Pierre Hermé Paris unveils its very first Singapore-exclusive macaron, The Jardin Peranakan. Inspired by local flavours of pandan, coconut and kaya, this creation blends French haute pâtisserie with Southeast Asian heritage.

Infused with pandan juice and layered with creamy kaya ganache, the pale green macaron is hand-painted with a red brushstroke as a subtle tribute to the Singapore flag. At first bite, vanilla and almond give way to floral pandan and toasted coconut, nostalgic yet refined.
