French Things to Do in September 2026 in Singapore: Events, Food & Culture

September welcomes everyone back with open arms, including in the French scene on the island of Singapore. Soak in the art and knowledge put on exhibition in various places, revel in orchestral music, and savor delicious traditional French cuisine.

An eventful month filled with exciting opportunities and events as we delve into the second half of 2026.

Spend an evening with the favorite Cello Concerto No.1 by Saint-Saëns from the late-Romantic era, performed by renowned French cellist Gautier Capucon on September 18th and 19th.

The evening will also see Vasily Petrenko, leading interpreter of Shostakovich, to perform the incredible Fourth Symphony, a wild maelstrom of modernity, with high-speed harmonic heists punctuated by the disquieting tick-tocks of oblivion.

Contemporary art, dance, music, and wine. All together for an evening by the Alliance Française de Singapour to awaken your senses in an unforgettable event.

Visit and explore their exhibition A Tale of Wondering Wilds in an exceptional way, with the gallery coming to life with a collaboration of dance company ARTS FISSION in The Secret Room of Urban Bestiary and a live performance by Flanery later in the evening.

Carefully curated wine selections inspired by the exhibition will also be available to complete the full immersive experience.

The exhibition A Tale of Wondering Wilds will be available until January, should you be unable to make it to the exceptional evening.
