Introducing « Daily Singapore » photo series by Marie Dailey Exhibition season by Merci Marcel.
This Daily Singapore series is a project that strives to show the unique and authentic aspect of Singapore which is more in line with Marie’s experience since her arrival in 2006.
She says, “Seeing Singapore evolve so rapidly since my arrival has inspired me to capture traditional aspects of Singaporean culture.” This series is composed exclusively of “street photographs” featuring images captured in the immediacy of a fleeting moment, without any kind of staging.
Her choice of subjects is often influenced by the memory of common,everyday scenes that she witnessed as a child in Paris which can no longer be seen today. Catch the exhibition at Merci Marcel Tiong Bahru until the end of November, 56 Eng Hoon Street, Singapore.
