For the first time ever, Plantation Rum is proud to introduce its international Tropical Month this April 2023 in Singapore; prepare for a full month of mixology madness from the tropics.

Kickstarting the festivities is Rumours Has It: drei x Plantation!. Happening at Rumours Beach Club from 11am to late, the Tropical Month launch party invites you to savour four Plantation Rum-based cocktails, including the Stiggins’ Daiquiri, Jamaican Mai Tai made using Plantation Xaymaca Rum and Plantation 3 Stars Rum, as well as a Stiggins’ Slushee Shots. Accompanying the cocktails are one-of-a-kind dishes by Andrei Soen.

For the remainder of April, visit local bars 28 HongKong Street, Bob’s Bar, Las Palmas, Panamericana, Potato Head Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors, Tempo Bar and Grill, and WooBar, for a full month of tropical mixology goodness. Each of the bars has specially created cocktails using Plantation Rum. Rum enthusiasts can expect dedicated cocktail menus at these bars, including Rumours Beach Club, with tropical-inspired cocktails featuring ingredients such as banana, pandan, lime and coconut.

Grab your funky shirt and sunglasses and head over to 28 HongKong Street for their refreshing Pineapple Daiquiri made with Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum, Lime, Sugar, and Tiki Bitters. Las Palmas brings forth summertime with Kamau, combination of Plantation 3 Stars Rum, Calpis, hazelnut liqueur, passion fruit purée, and orgeat. Fans of dark rum will enjoy Panamericana’s Tepache, a combination of Plantation Original Dark Rum, pineapple water, and cacao with nutmeg and clove.

At Smoke & Mirrors, watch the sunset while sipping Want Something Fancy?, a cocktail made with Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum, Plantation Original Dark Rum, lime juice, mango shrub, lemongrass, and grenadine. Creamy, cool, and refreshing is Tempo Bar’s Dirty Banana, featuring Plantation Rum O.F.T.D. with banana, espresso, and sweetened almond milk. A mix of Plantation 3 Stars Rum, fresh lime juice, pineapple, and pandan syrup, WooBar’s Fire & Ice is the perfect remedy against the tropical heat.

Alternatively, recreate the taste of the tropics from the comfort of your home by making the Plantation Stiggins’ Pineapple Daiquiri. To do this, shake 60 ml Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum, 20 ml simple syrup (sugar syrup) and 30 ml lime juice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge for the full experience.

During Tropical Month in April, you can purchase any two bottles of Plantation Rum through the EC Proof website (and get to redeem two free shots of Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum at selected bars.

Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum was created as a tribute to the Charles Dickens character Reverend Stiggins of The Pickwick Papers, whose favourite drink was “pineapple rum.” The dark rum is made by infusing the barks of Victoria pineapples separately in Plantation 3 Stars Rum and Plantation Original Dark Rum before they are blended together to create a rich, fruity spirit accented by smoky notes. The famed rum has won gold medals in competitions such as The Spirits Business’ “The Rum and Cachaça Masters” and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
