Curious about Bordeaux with Ginett

Since its inception in 2017, Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar has been the destination du jour for Singapore gourmands and oenophiles alike, to savour superb French wines that offer great value and pair beautifully with its hearty European gourmet offerings.

This March, Ginett welcomes French-born sommelier Justine Le Merle, who joins Ginett as its new Operations Manager and resident sommelier. Eager to get started, Justine will be conducting a series of wine workshops starting 16 March, where she will guide guests through an assortment of Bordeaux wines and how to best enjoy them in fine detail. French food lovers and foodies can also look forward to the return of Ginett’s Goût de France menu, available as a limited-time special for the month of March.

March into the new month with Ginett’s Goût de France menu, returning for its fifth edition with a limited-time menu that celebrates the best of French gastronomy, paired with French wines specially curated by Ginett’s newly appointed sommelier Justine Le Merle.

From now to 31 March 2019, guests can eat and drink their way through France in a three-course menu with wine pairing that features delectable starters such as a colourful Gin-cured Salmon with horseradish cream or a classic Beef Tartare with Pommery mustard aioli and sourdough crisps – either of which perfectly accompanied with the bright and light Castel Roubine Rosé from Côtes de Provence. Slowly savour decadent mains such as forktender Slow-cooked Duck Breast with lentils and spring vegetables paired with a full-bodied Mont Thabor from Côtes du Rhône that reveals pleasant aromas of fresh fruits and spices; or savoury Shrimp Soufflé Tart in between aromatic sips of Domaine de la Seigneurie des Tourelles, Saumur Blanc that cuts through nicely with a zesty freshness. Finish off with a Rhubarb & Strawberry Tart paired with either the rich, woody Domaine des Capucins, Château Arnaud or ripe and juicy Château De Landiras, Graves.
